Always go for breakfast. Everything is good. We go frequently. Bean and cheese and bacon taco, huevos rancheros, migas.

Our visit was terrible. I was excited to try it, but we're majorly let down. We got there before the rush. We ordered two breakfast tacos each, and one per child. We waited over an hour and finally the adults got their tacos, the guy delivering the food to the table said he would be right back with the rest of the order. 15 minutes later and he was still not back the adults were waiting to eat until the kids got their food the kids were very hungry and crying we finally just had to leave they never brought the rest of the order. Terrible experience!! Pictures are what of what actually was delivered but not the remainder of the meal.

Spectacular service, especially Eddy the new waiter, very fresh and hot food highly recommended this place to go alone or with family. thanks for the excellent service from my waiter. I will be coming so often to this particular place.

Stopped here with my man before a road trip. Just the fuel we needed, good food and prices. Our waitress was very sweet.

We've been there a few times for some breakfast tacos and they were delicious. Highly recommend the papas a la Mexicana taco and their refried beans. Oh! Their green salsa is also on point! Good breakfast, great service and nice atmosphere. We need to go for lunch or dinner to see if it lives up to breakfast though.

Terrible service. Phone number doesn’t work. Food is overpriced and when you pay $3 for one fajita taco they give you this sad excuse for a taco. The only positive thing I can say is that they have a decent flour tortilla. If you can handle waiting in their drive thru line and you want to pay $6 for a dozen tortillas... this is your place. Otherwise, go get a taco ANYWHERE else.

The customer service here has gone down the hole. We asked to sit down on a booth due to medical reasons my husband has to sit on a booth and there teenagers that were up front started to argue between themselves and try to sit us on table after we stated we needed a booth. After watching them talk it out we decided to leave. Very unprofessional.

Service was great. The waitress was gave great recommendations. The salsa tasted amazing and fresh. Overall good experience and will come back here.

Everything is hit or miss from the service to the food even trying to make a phone call order. I've gone when they said there were no more chips yet tables after we had been seated were getting served chips. I've called in orders with no problem yet I've called in and been on hold over 5min and just hung up. When it's great it's amazing but flip the coin and good luck!

A local favorite Mexican restaurant that never disappoints. My family and I love to swing by and grab some breakfast tacos every week. The ingredients are always fresh and all the food is super tasty!

Went in for breakfast after Church. The picadillo was horrific. No flavor what so ever. My sons bean and cheese taco was lacking flavor as well. Beans tasted like they were from a can. Worst of all, my wife’s menudo was the worst we’ve ever had. Again no flavor at all!!! Horrible experience

Food is always very good. Home style cooking. I eat here at least once a week. Nothing fancy , but it is my favorite Mexican food restaurant in San Antonio. Service can be slow when they are busy so plan for the time. Highly recommend.

First time here. Samantha gets six stars. Service was great. Tacos were really good. Red Salsa was perfect. Never has to ask for coffee. My new favorite place to get tacos in this part of town.

My server MERCEDES was a big factor in our last horrible visit to this little business. She was not only forgetful but my wife witnessed her eating what seemed to be a taco by a counter top instead of refilling our coffee, like we asked several times. Place is unprofessional, cold food, spotty service. Waiter over 15 minutes to sit, which want bad, considering the fact that their had to be at least 15 tables at service. The only thing I can say I enjoyed was my tea. I WOULD NOT SUGGEST COMING HERE.

The first and 2nd visit to the new and improved Bandera road cafe where to standards. The food was great and the Tea is, in my opinion, the Best! The atmosphere and waitstaff could use some fine tuning. Overall, it was good....because it wasn't bad.

I apologize in advance for misleading review but unfortunately the lowest score option is the one star. The food here is far below my expectation of Tex mex in San Antonio, they only use American cheese as in chez wiz, or other processed cheese option. Beans rice no flavor, picadillo “ tastes like cat food smells” so skip this place. Far far better options are: Mia’s, las palapas, el chaparral, or Taco Bell. All listed are far superior quality of food and far better experience. I did address my concerns about quality, initially even though we did not eat the food they wanted to charge us half because we ordered, I was told to sample everything before I order which sounded silly. They did agree to comp one of the meals but insisted in debate with me about my opinion and how they only get few complaints a week about quality!!! I can only hope we don’t get sick!! Albeit seemingly waiting in vain for inevitable food related illness!!

Great Mexican breakfast for fantastic prices. Had a party of 8 (3 were children) and bill was less than $60. Delicious chorizo in particular.

Food is so good..but service is so horrible that I give 1 star. Any time I dined in even if the place was near empty waitress always hiding. Good luck getting a refill. And when I call in order for pick up the lady is taking other orders while talking to me and talking to other employees. My husband shows up for the order and she never wrote it down. So annoying.

Food is great! 5 Stars. Service is non existent at this new location, 1 star. Used to be seat yourself. Now you wait forever for a hostess and plenty of employees walk by with zero acknowledgement that crowds of people are waiting. Every employee is on slow mo. Will probably come again but only if I have time to kill.

First visit was terrible. Drive thru at 7am and ordered 6 tacos. Guy at the drive thru didn't confirm the order and gave us 3 tacos. Went back through the drive thru to order the other 3 tacos. The tacos are small and to top it off the bacon/egg had HAIR intertwined in the eggs!! Call to let them know they were confrontrational on the phone and offered me to come back to get another taco. No thank you!! I will not be returning.

Good place for breakfast. The service is quick and friendly and the coffee is above par. 4 stars for quality of food, 5 stars for the rest of the place.

I do not care to make negative reviews but I am compelled about the situation I experienced. I called in the following order:Family Pack #1$19.993 Flautas,3 Cheese Quesadillas,6 Cheese Enchiladas,16 oz Rice,16 oz Beans and Hot Sauce.I am disabled and driving is a challenge for me so I hope this does not happen to someone else in the permanently disabled community.I drove all the way over there and then all the way home only to find out that I received a plate with two enchiladas, a little rice and beans, a soggy chalupa and an over cooked crispy taco shell. This meal on their website was a lot lower than what I paid!I called them immediately and let them know what happened and at least they credited my order for a fairly bad meal. The person on the phone at first challenged my claim but after 15 minutes she finally figured it out I guess.

The food was bland and common. The hot stuff did not have flavor, just heat. The cheese they used for the enchiladas is fake cheese.

Great prices, great portions, and lovely staff. Will come again sometime in the future. Tacos were some of the best I've had in a long time, must stop when coming to Helotes.

There food is normally really good. However, since they relocated their quality in food has really gone down. There was hardly any meat in our tacos and our waitress never came back to see if we needed anything and then they put their own gratuity in the check.

Not bad. Green enchiladas we pretty good with green salsa. Chicken fajitas were a little dry, so going to try beef ones next time. Chips and salsa were pretty good also.

I had the Caldo De Res soup and the meat had a strange smell to it and was loaded with fat. I will never eat that again at this place. The rice was very salty and I like salt. The place was clean. I would most likely choose a different place. My 2nd time there and the first time it took 40 minutes for the food.

The server was nice but didn’t know English much, not even enough to answer any questions about anything. The meat on all 5 of our entrees was old, you could tell. I’ve never left a review anywhere but this place was so off and left a bad taste in my mouth. My stomach hurts and I’m a bit grossed out. Best thing was the coffee. :/
